Allison keeps having “dreams” that her husband Joe is determined to disprove. In a drastic measure he submits her “dreams” to different law enforcement agencies. Much to his surprise he gets a hit on a case out of Texas, involving the murder of a teenage boy.
The Phoenix D.A. calls Allison to seek her help in selecting a jury. He needs a jury that is sure to return a guilty verdict and deliver the death penalty. Allison’s abilities are tested when she doubts herself.
D.A. Devalos introduces Allison to Detective Lee Scanlon in an effort to help him with the apparent murder/suicide of his sister and her husband. Scanlon is standoffish about Allison’s abilities until her theories start to lead in the killer's direction.
Allison alerts D.A. Devalos that one of his witnesses is giving false information to the police sketch artist. Allison dreams she is being chased through an airport by a wolf who holds the secret identity of the real killer. Meanwhile Bridgette, her middle daughter, gets a new "playmate"...apparently Allison is not the only one who sees dead people.
Allison is frustrated when Joe has a medical procedure done and she cannot "see" anything about his health or future. See seeks the help of Catherine, a fellow psychic, who warns of her trouble ahead. Meanwhile, Allison dreams of the location of a murder weapon and is later called to court to explain why and how she knows the location of the weapon.
Allison has a horrifying dream that one of her daughters has been kidnapped and murdered. She is traumatized when she runs into the murderer from her dream at the D.A.'s office, providing information about a recent burglary. Joe thinks her obsession with this would-be killer is being fueled by another source.
Allison keeps dreaming of a girl throwing herself off a cliff into a ravine. Finally Allison sets out to find this girl, who turns out to be someone who was dating a defense attorney’s son. Elsewhere Joe is worried about the health of a co-worker who Allison forsaw collapsing from a heart attack.
Allison's brother is enlisted in the United States Army, and Allison is rocked to the core and emotionally drained when she dreams of his death. While dealing with that she is handed a troubling case involving arson and an uncooperative young witness.
Allison's daughter Ariel dreams that she is a young girl named Sara being held captive by an ogre in a castle. While Joe agonizes over the possibility that two of his three daughters have inherited their mother's psychic abilities, Allison tries to help Ariel and interpret the dream. However, Allison's advice provokes Ariel to run away from a field trip in order to follow up a clue.
Allison's recurring dream about two young boys racing a train is analyzed by Dr. Leonard Cardwell, but Allison soon learns that he's involved. Devalos investigates the case of a 14-year-old who confessed to murder.
